Imagination Rules The World !!

"Imagination is not only the uniquely human capacity to envision that which is not, and, therefore, the foundation of all invention and innovation. It’s arguably most trans-formative and revelatory capacity, it is the power that enables us to empathize with humans whose experiences we have never shared." -J.K Rowling
Imagination can change the world because new ideas revolutionize the world. It’s the ability of mind to build mental images which never existed in the past. The human imagination is a very powerful gift as we have the ability to make creative choices. The imaginary world is manifestly tangled with the real world and there are many ways to illustrate this through literature (make it realistic or turn it into fantasy).Imagination empowers humans as it allows us to see into the future and explore the depth of our knowledge. Knowledge here plays a significant role. If we have adequate knowledge on a particular subject we can apply it suitably while imagining.
Imagination is unbiased asking and answering of questions like “What if students didn’t have to go to school?” “What if cultural revolution never happened?”

J.K Rowling, British novelist and author of harry potter fantasy series is an excellent example of imagination. How Rowling came up with the series is interesting. As she travelled back to London on a crowded train, the idea of Harry Potter struck her. She simply sat and imagined for straight four hours and the wizard became more and more real in her mind. Similarly, J.R. Tolken wrote “Lord of the Rings” by sitting in his backyard and imagining everything coming to life. Imagination has a dark side too. World War 2 began because Hitler imagined Europe dominated by Nazi Germany and it made history. Imagination impart us equal opportunities and dangers. It enables scientists to discover new medicines for curing diseases but with that side effects also come along.

The imagination is a wonderful diversion that allows one to deal with reality in a different form. Through the imagination one has the ability to sustain reality, especially in a situation of pain or violence. The imagination can be present in many forms and can aid in the healthy development of oneself in all stages of life. The more imagination one possesses, the more they have the power to change the world.
